Winds of Winter theory: Expect BIG focus on Sansa, Arya and future King Bran Stark
As fans await George RR Martin’s long-awaited new Game of Thrones book, fans have been making their own predictions for the next chapter of A Song of Ice and Fire. As tensions heighten in The Winds of Winter, just who will get the main focus in the chapters? Well, a new fan theory asserts it will be Stark children, Sansa, Arya and future King Bran.
Reddit theorist dontlikemynames argues: “Something I thought of recently is how in the last two books the story has mostly followed the point of views of three characters each.
“Cersei, Jaime and Brienne in AFFC; Jon, Dany and Tyrion in ADWD.
“However, Jaime and Brienne are now together so their story requires only one of their PoV at a time.
“Jon is dead (for now), Tyrion is about to clash with Barristan Selmy and Victarion.”

They continued: “And their stories are about to mix and each PoV is going to decrease as well or die completely (cough Selmy probably).
“In TWOW I feel like it would make sense that, since the story will focus on the Others and Winter, the Stark kids finally come to the front.
“The characters with the most chapters will be Sansa, Arya and Bran.
“Specially since the three of them are each in their own secluded story at the moment.”
The theorist added: “Their journey is going to take major strides and bring them to vastly different places than where the book starts.
“And have them take larger roles within the overall story and set them up for the grand finale in ADOS.”
Seeing as the Stark trio ended up surviving in the final episode of Game of Thrones, with two of them becoming monarchs, it would make a lot of sense for Martin to focus in on their narrative arcs for the final push in the last two books.
Especially if A Dream of Spring will be more focused on Cersei, Dany and Jon Snow’s perceptions.

Fans are hopeful that 2020 will be the year he finally publishes the penultimate book in the series.
But before penning A Dream of Spring, Martin intends on writing his fourth Dunk and Egg short story.
After cleansing his palate, the author will head back to Westeros to complete his epic saga.
