Alex Jones baby: ‘We can do this’ The One Show host speaks out after ‘long night’

Alex Jones, 42, welcomed another baby boy into the world, named Kit, with her husband Charlie Thomson, last month.

The One Show host has continued to share updates about her new life as a mother-of-two on Instagram, whilst on maternity leave from the programme.

Last night, the Welsh star uploaded a picture of herself in bed, preparing for the night of feeding ahead.

The presenter posed with her hand in her brunette locks, whilst giving the camera a faint smile.

She wrote on the picture: “And just like that… it’s night again.”

“We can do this mamas.”

The night before, Alex explained it had been a “long” one with Kit, as she shared an adorable photo of her snuggled up to him.

She wrote: “That was a very long night… love the morning cuddles though.”

Alex enjoyed the outdoors with Kit her spouse and their other son, Teddy two, at the weekend.

The BBC favourite revealed they had a family outing to Kew Gardens in London and “loved it”.

Alongside an orange and yellow sculpture, she said: “You can’t beat Kew Gardens especially on a day like today, although this sculpture is a bit like my brain at the moment.

“Tip for summer…. the new children’s garden is amazing! We took the whole fam and all ages loved it!”

She added: “We even came away with membership and no, this is not an ad….we’re just properly middle aged! It takes our love of a good garden centre to a whole new level.”

Alex recently spoke about the “maternity leave” perks whilst she cares for her little one.

In selfie with her pal, make-up artist, Liz Beckett, Alex looked glowing as they spent time together.

The One Show host revealed she was enjoying some fresh air and a bite to eat with her friend, along with their babies.

Alex, dressed in a black-and-white striped top, beamed away to the camera as she relished in the outdoors.

She captioned the selfie: “Fresh air and a pub lunch with @lizbeckettmua and the bubba’s. #maternityleaveperks.”

Alex recently thanked fans for their supportive messages in a black-and-white snap.

“She said: 4 weeks of getting to know Kit. A big thank you for all your messages over the last few weeks,” she said next to an adorable snap of her enjoying snuggles from Kit.

“Each one is very much appreciated,” she continued. “I’ve loved reading them and they’ve really kept me going during the long nights.”

Alex added: “Lots of love and congratulations to all the other new parents out there who have been in touch too.”

The One Show airs tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
