Ariana Grande Just Appeared to Confirm the Release Date for Her Next Album
It's official: Ariana Grande's next album has a release date.
On Saturday, Ari appeared to confirm that new music was on its way after tweeting out a link to her website with two sets of countdown clocks: one presumably for her new single, and the other for her sixth studio album. According to the cryptic clocks, the single is set to arrive as early as next week on Oct. 23, and the album, the seven days later on Oct. 30.
Meanwhile, both the lead single and album are thought to be titled "Positions." Hours prior to the mysterious announcement, Grande posted a curious video of her impeccably manicured finger typing out the word "positions" in slow motion to social media, providing no context in the caption at the time. But now, it's all starting to make sense.
Ari's been leaving us breadcrumbs as far back as March, but her clues only became more obvious this month. Less than two weeks ago, the singer encouraged fans to register to vote with the promise of new music, tweeting: "Turning in these mixes and reminding u again to register to vote if u haven’t already / to vote early." Soon after, she teased again, "I can't wait to give u my album this month."
Looks like the wait is (almost) over.
