Captain America’s Chris Evans swabs own nose for Covid test on set of new movie

Chris Evans was spotted doing his own coronavirus swab test as he arrived on the set of his upcoming movie Don’t Look Up.

The Captain America star, 39, was seen going through the safety checks as he arrived on set in Boston, where a helper took his temperature from afar.

The actor opted to do the swab test himself, and was seen lowering his black face mask to insert the swab into his nose.

Chris braved the slightly uncomfortable sensation to take his own Covid test, while he held his belongings in a see-through bag before being allowed on set.

He is currently filming for Don’t Look Up, which also stars Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Timothee Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi and Matthew Perry.

Meryl Streep recently revealed her character in the upcoming Netflix movie, directed by Adam McKay, would be the President of the United States.

Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she revealed the movie would be: ‘about a global catastrophe, but it’s sort of funny, like Dr Strangelove for 2020, about global warming — a metaphor for that.’

Meryl also revealed that shooting the movie amid the pandemic was strange, explaining: ‘The whole thing’s so eerie and odd and disconcerting.’

She added that all the time off due to lockdowns had left her a little rusty, joking: ‘We had our first scene on Friday, and I was so bad.

‘I just completely lost it. I couldn’t remember anything. But I’m sure it’ll be fine in the edit.’

Filming for many movies had to be put on hold earlier in the year due to the Covid-19 pandemic spreading rapidly around the world, but the majority have since resumed shooting with coronavirus testing and extra precautions in place.
