Chrissy Teigen Just Threw Shade At This Full House Alum
Chrissy Teigen knows a thing or two about modeling, acting, being a dedicated mom, and, especially, making people laugh. Whether she’s cracking jokes on Twitter and Instagram or stealing the thunder from husband John Legend on the red carpet, Teigen is always turning heads with her unmatched personality. One thing the “Bring the Funny” star is also known for, though, is throwing shade.
In the past, she’s thrown jabs at former President Donald Trump, made epic clapbacks at unwanted social media naysayers, and even made comments regarding the highly publicized college admissions scandal. The “Cravings” author had no qualms about calling out those involved with the 2019 bribery scheme, which was dubbed “Operation Varsity Blues,” including “Full House” alum Lori Loughlin and “Desperate Housewives” actor Felicity Huffman.
Both women, as well as dozens of others, were charged for paying bribes to falsely get their children into college, per CNN. At the time Loughlin and Huffman were indicted, Teigen shared hilariously edited photoshopped pictures of her, Legend, and their two friends, Jen Atkin and Mike Rosenthal. “Does this look real? we are trying to get into Harvard,” Teigen captioned the Twitter post in March 2019, later adding, “I feel like mine could pass.”
Since then, plenty of others have been the subject of Teigen’s social media spectacle, but she recently threw shade at Loughlin for a new reason. Keep scrolling to find out what Teigen had to say about the former “Full House” star.
Chrissy Teigen poked fun at Lori Loughlin's involvement in the college admissions scandal
Is Chrissy Teigen looking to add “hospitality management professional” to her reésumé? Not necessarily. Instead of sharing her prospective business endeavors, the former “Chrissy’s Court” star seemingly mocked “Full House” alum Lori Loughlin while posting her latest feisty message on social media.
“I wanna go to hospitality school. I am old and didn’t take my SATs,” Teigen wrote via Twitter on April 27. “How does this work now? How do you get into school? Do I have to Laurie Laughlin photoshop myself being hospitable.” After realizing she misspelled the former “When Calls the Heart” actor’s name, Teigen followed up, writing, “Dammit it’s lori!!”
The Sports Illustrated model was making jabs at Loughlin, who was charged with paying $500,000 to have her daughters, Isabella Rose Giannulli and Olivia Jade Giannulli, admitted to USC as recruits of the rowing team. Loughlin, as well as her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, doctored fake photos and had their kids pose on ERG machines in order to create convincing athletic profiles (via BuzzFeed).
Ultimately, Loughlin was found guilty and sentenced to two months in prison in August 2020. According to USA Today, she pleaded guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. In addition to her sentence, the actor was fined $150,000 and was required to complete 100 hours of community service. Loughlin was released from prison in December 2020.
