Coleen Rooney praises her four sons for adapting to life in the US in sweet post

Proud mum Coleen Rooney shared a summery snap of her four boys as they marked the last day of the school term with a family photo.

The Rooneys relocated to Washington last year after dad Wayne signed a contracted with DC United.

Praising her boys for adjusting to the move, Coleen tweeted on Friday: "Summer is here!! Last day of term for my boys!! So proud of how they have adapted to life in America."

Alongside it Coleen shared a black and white snap of her looking adoringly at Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and Cass, who was born in February 2018, as they sat in their gadren.

Coleen's followers immediately rushed to tell her how much the boys looked like her.

While another wanted to know if the four boys had picked up an American accent yet.

"Gorgeous pic," commented a third.

Earlier this month, Wayne and Coleen celebrated their 11 year wedding anniversary with a low-key date night in Washington.

Coleen took to Instagram to write a gushing tribute to her childhood sweetheart.

She told Wayne: "11 years married!! Happy anniversary @waynerooney. It's been a journey… Ups and downs, highs and lows… but you know what… I love you x."

The couple, both 33, tied the knot on June 12, 2008, and have been through plenty of drama in the last decade.

Last December Wayne was arrested for being drunk at a Washington airport .

Then in February he was spotted boozing with barmaid Vicki Rosiek in Florida until the early hours.

Later that month Coleen was seen whisking her sons away on holiday without their father.

It's since been reported that Coleen has laid down rules to keep their marriage on track.

A source told The Sun : "Coleen is adamant Wayne can change his ways and she is helping him get out of the hole he'd fallen into.

"First to go was his video gaming obsession and Coleen is demanding he spend more time with the family at home, rather than in a different room staring at a screen. She is desperate for Wayne to end his childish antics and start growing up.

"Now she wants family dinners at home for them to connect and is making sure she sets aside time to spend with Wayne alone."

The insider went on to say that the new rules are the "final option" for Coleen who has "stuck by Wayne through everything".
