Ferne McCann has ‘embraced’ being a single mum to Sunday but is still on hunt for love – EXCLUSIVE
Realty star Ferne McCann has said she now embraces being called a single mum, but is still very much on the look for love.
The First Time Mum star, 29, has revealed she used to have a real issue with people labelling her a single parent but is now “proud” to be given the title.
Speaking to OK! online and other journalists, Ferne explained: “When I was pregnant and when I gave birth I had a real issue with people labelling me a single parent and a single mum.
“I can say now that at that time I hadn’t come to terms with it myself,” she said. “I really struggled to look at people raising a child in a partnership. I felt like I was robbed of that.
“It wasn’t until I actually lived being a single parent that I thought: ‘Hang on a minute, I’m gonna eat my words and take back what I said,’ because I really didn’t like the term.”
Ferne, who is mum to Sunday, who is set to turn two on Saturday 2 November, added: “I love being a single parent – it’s my only ever experience I couldn’t imagine it any other way.
“I feel very proud to be doing it on my own, it’s super rewarding.”
Despite feeling “proud” to be a single mum, the reality star, who first found fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2013, is still on the look for love.
“I would love to fall in love,” she said. “I would love to have more children, that’s something I can say now.”

When asked if she's looking for a father figure for her daughter, she said: “I’m open to meeting someone, not necessarily a father figure because I wanna meet someone for me first but, of course, I have to take that into consideration because we come as a package.
”But, I’m just excited to meet someone for me first and just see where it goes.”
Ferne recently revealed she’s “been on multiple dates” with a man who lives in Northern Spain whom she met on the celebrity dating app Raya.
Shortly before this, she was snapped kissing Love Island’s Jordan Hames, 24, at an event in London.
But, the reality star told us her love live “is not coming along well” and explained: “I wouldn’t say I’m unlucky in love, I don’t think I’ve given it that much of a chance.
“I’ve always said it would have to be someone that I really fancy and like to be able to spend time away from Sunday but I’ve been on a few dates and no one that I felt like, ‘right, I wanna make this serious’ but we’ll see really. I’ve had a few snogs as you know, I’ve had a few dates but we’ll see.”
This comes after Ferne revealed she’s looking for someone who’s “kind” and “older” after her romance with Love Island's Jordan Hames fizzled out.
The pair were seen kissing on a night out but didn't develop into anything more.
Ferne previously told us: “[I'm looking for] A kind person who has the same interests as me, and who I can have an adult relationship.
“I'm sick and tired of lust. Maybe an older man because I've always gone for younger guys.”
