Ferne McCann says she ‘doesn’t want to scare anyone off’ as she discusses new flame Jack Padgett for the first time
If anyone deserves to find love in 2021, it's Ferne McCann. The former TOWIE star has kissed her fair share of frogs in the last decade, including the likes of Joey Essex's cousin Charlie Sims, who she had a turbulent relationship with for five years before calling it quits.
But it wasn't until her romance with Arthur Collins did her world come crashing to a halt after he was arrested for carrying out a traumatising acid attack in a London nightclub in April 2017. Just two days later, Ferne announced her pregnancy with now-three year old Sunday, who became the light at the end of the tunnel for her.
Now, nearly four years after her ex boyfriend's arrest, it appears the star is finally on the brink of finding her happily ever after. Speaking in a raw and open interview exclusively with OK! VIP members about her time on Celebrity Best Home Cook, the 30 year old explains that while it's still very early to comment on, she's formed a new romance with male model Jack Padgett after the pair were linked together during her trip in South Africa.To read this article, sign up below and become part of our VIP Club – it's free!
"It's very early days. So we'll see. I don't want to say anything to scare anyone off," she tells OK!, adding: "I just want to enjoy it and see where it goes."
While Jack is clearly doing well for himself in the modelling industry, he's also a client relationship and marketing manager for events company Konflict London.
The muscular blond, alike to Ferne, is also very into fitness and frequently posts snaps of himself honing his physique.
Jack also clearly runs in similar circles as Ferne, as he is followed on Instagram by reality stars including Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, TOWIE's Jess Wright and Made In Chelsea veteran Jamie Laing.
Ferne previously told new magazine that she's a romantic at heart and being in love is something that she longs for.
"It’s definitely something that excites me. I’ve always been a romantic at heart. But sometimes I think, 'Who am I going to end up with?'" she told new. "It just really isn’t up there at the top of my priority list. I’m hoping it’s going to be like a film, where I step off the tube and I bump into someone. I’ve just surrendered now.
"I’m like, 'Universe – I trust you. I’m going to leave it in your hands' I’m looking at my vision board right now and there’s an engagement ring and a silhouette of a couple kissing on a beach. I’m putting it out there!"
She added: "I’d love to get married. I think when you’re so in love with someone and you want to make it official, it’s just beautiful.
"It’s not the be-all and end-all for me, if I’m honest, but I would love to have that security and that ceremony to make it official."
Ferne also spoke out about her choice in partners, explaining that she's always ended up with someone who isn't in the spotlight.

"I don’t really know, it’s just how it’s worked out. There’s only room for one celeb, honey! [Laughs]. I’m totally joking. I’m so not like that! But yeah, I don’t have a preference.
"Sometimes I get embarrassed about being in the public eye and I pre-empt what they would be thinking. I’m really proud of my show and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come from TOWIE.
"Moving forward, whoever I’m going to get with, they have to understand that I am in the public eye and I have got a reality show on my life, so they’re going to have to be accepting and understanding of that."
