Garth Brooks Song Hits Hot Country Songs Chart For Fifth Straight Decade

Garth Brooks has achieved the feat of becoming the first act ever to have made it to Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for five straight decades.

Starting from 1980s, and now into the ’20s, Brooks has figured on the Hot Country Songs chart a total of 89 times, hitting the No. 1 spot 19 weeks.

His first appearance on the chart was through “Much Too Young (To Feel This Damn Old),” when the song hit No. 94 on March 25, 1989. The song went on to peak at No. 8 in July that year, earning Brooks his first of 36 top 10s.

His latest entry into the coveted list is through “Dive Bar,” featuring Blake Shelton. The song advanced 24-21 in the list dated January 11.
