Halsey reveals she's pregnant with surprise announcement

Singer Halsey revealed she is expecting her first child as she announced her happy news on Instagram.

The 26-year-old hitmaker shocked fans on Wednesday as she shared the first images of her baby bump online.

The Without Me singer – – who has previously suffered multiple miscarriages – simply captioned the images: ‘surprise! ????’

Halsey appeared to tag the father of her child, producer Alev Aydin, in the post, who then shared the announcement post on his Instagram Stories.

One shocked fan wrote, ‘You joking right’, while another commented: ‘WHAT’.

Another added: ‘Ommmmmgggggg are you kidding’.

Halsey – real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane – has been pictured out and about in Los Angeles with writer Alev since October last year.

However, fans had not been aware of the pair’s romantic relationship.

The happy news comes after the singer previously opened up about how her miscarriages made her ‘the most inadequate I’ve ever felt’.

The star, who has endometriosis, has suffered three ‘demoralising’ miscarriages, including one which occurred while she was performing on stage.

Speaking to the Guardian, the Boy With Luv singer said: ‘It’s the most inadequate I’ve ever felt. Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can’t do the one thing I’m biologically put on this earth to do.

‘Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralising.’

However, despite her health struggles, she was delighted to learn that motherhood was still ‘gonna happen for me. That’s a miracle.’

The Bad At Love singer has previously dated rapper G-Eazy, actor Evan Peters and singer Yungblud.
