Martin Lewis, 49, made quite the splash on social media after four weeks AWOL over summer. But fans were over the moon the Money Expert was back, and were left in awe as he posted a rare snap of him working out.
PS and yes, of course I’m tensing
Martin was all smiles posing in the gym, as he cheekily took photo of himself in the mirror.
Posting a series of three shots to Instagram, fans were surprised at his muscles and gushed over his physique.
Alongside the images, Martin penned: “Obligatory Instagram gym pics after a month with time to properly work out.
“PS and yes, of course I’m tensing!”
Rushing to the comments section, his followers were quick to welcome him back from his break.
“Goodness me, that month fled by, I thought it had been a week! You look good on it mate,” one wrote.
A second agreed: “Great to have you back Martin you’re looking good.”
“Hope you feel as good as you look! (I’m guessing you do!!) Welcome back to the Internet!” a third chimed.
“Happy to see you back!” a fourth said.
While a fifth giggled: “Your grin the the 3rd pic though!”
It comes after Martin took a break from TV and social media, telling his followers that he was “off” on a hiatus to spend time with his family.
Alongside a humorous snap of him with post-it notes stuck to his eyes with a message that read “I’m off”, he explained his decision to have a break.
“Ta ta for now. I’m about to start a Summer Social Sabbatical,” he penned.
“I’ll be offline for a few weeks, instead focusing on family, relaxing, exercise, golf, time to think, & watching the athletics.”
He added: “I wish you all a great summer.”
On Twitter, he advised his followers to contact his website if they had any problems: “Any issues, the team @MoneySavingExp are still around,” he said.
It has been a busy year for the father-of-one – following the success of his financial career, the father-of-one secured a slot as a guest host on Good Morning Britain last month.
Martin fronted the show alongside Susanna Reid, following Piers Morgan’s departure in March.
On his stint, he said: “It has been a wonderful, refreshing change to be outside my normal subject, which I love and I will be going back to.
“I think I have a mission in life and that’s about saving people money and fighting for financial justice.”
He added he wouldn’t mind coming back to the show for a couple of days in the future.
