Jenelle Evans BLASTS ‘Absurd’ Reports About Her Custody Battle!
Jenelle Evans is setting the record straight.
As we reported last month, the Teen Mom 2 star lost custody of her three children — Jace, nine, Kaiser, four, and Ensley, two — after her husband, David Eason, basically admitted to killing their adopted French bulldog Nugget.
Days after the couple returned to court — where afterward, the MTV personality was filmed bickering with mom Barbara — the 27-year-old spoke to E! News about the various rumors surrounding her legal battle.
The reality TV vet told the publication that she and her husband are, indeed, seeking to regain custody of his teen daughter Maryssa, explaining:
“The reports about custody are absurd. I don’t understand why everyone thinks Maryssa is excluded out of this situation when every child is involved… We are fighting for all the children to come home.”
While Maryssa is currently living with her mother and grandmother, Evans said her guardians are refusing to cooperate.
“Maryssa’s grandmother and mother have cut David off completely. He’s being nice as possible and trying to check up on her and they refuse to answer the phone.”
Per Jenelle, she is only allowed to see her children during supervised visits once a week. Because of this, Evans finds it difficult to attend court hearings since she cannot take her kids home with her.
“It’s really hard holding my emotions together when your child doesn’t want to let you go, but if you don’t hold it together and break down it will make the child more concerned and upset.”
In regards to Barbara — who reportedly has custody of Jace and Ensley — Jenelle called their relationship “rocky,” as her mother has “broken trust.”
“Back to square one with our relationship.”
Overall, Evans is doing “everything possible to cooperate with Child Protective Services,” as her attention is “completely” devoted to her children — in addition to “working hard on my makeup kit from a distance.”
To conclude, Jenelle is “hopeful” that she will regain custody of her children, especially with the help of her “major support team” and their “hard” work.
As we reported earlier this week, Evans — wearing a necklace gifted to her by Kaiser — shared an optimistic message about her family on Instagram, saying:
“It’s the little things in life. With everything that has been going on lately, I’ve come to realize a child’s love for their mother will never fade. No distance, not time, no person can change that special love. This necklace was given to me by my little bubba, Kaiser. He told me he wanted mommy to ‘match his’. My children are the sweetest and the best… #MommasBabies #InMyHeart#AlwaysAndForever’”
