Josh Duggar’s Lawyers Speak Out, Plus His Possible Prison Time Has Been Revealed
The legal team for reality star Josh Duggar is speaking out after he was arrested on child pornography charges.
The former 19 Kids & Counting star will remain in custody until May 5, which is when his legal team can seek bond during a detention hearing. The case will go to trial on July 6.
“Josh Duggar has been charged in a two-count indictment. He has pled not guilty to both charges and we intend to defend this case aggressively and thoroughly,” attorneys Justin Gelfand, Travis W. Story and Greg Payne said in a statement.
They added, “In this country, no one can stop prosecutors from charging a crime. But when you’re accused, you can fight back in the courtroom — and that is exactly what Josh intends to do.”
Sources have revealed the amount of prison time that Josh is facing if he’s convicted on the charges.
