A resurfaced clip has shown Liam Hemsworth appearing visibly awkward after his ex-wife Miley Cyrus twerked on him.

The actor, who is now in a relationship with girlfriend Gabriella Brooks, looked mortified as Miley started dancing on him in a red-carpet video from 2019.

The pair were interviewed at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party when the interviewer asked the couple which type of dancing they enjoy doing together.

Miley, 28, proceeded to twerk on Liam, 31, who instantly backed away and appeared uncomfortable.

The pair first met back in 2009 when they appeared in film The Last Song together.

They tied the knot in a secret ceremony on 23 December 2018 at her family home in Tennessee.

Liam filed for divorce in August 2019, just days after the pair publically announced their split.

Following their split, Liam broke his silence and issued a statement for his fans on Instagram.

He shared a photo of a sunset as he addressed the very public split. Liam explained: "Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward… Peace and Love."

Miley also issued a statement via People magazine, which read: "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.

"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers."
