Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ Reclaims Top Spot On Billboard Hot 100
Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is back at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.
The song advanced from No. 2 to claim the top spot on the list dated December 19, registering its fourth total week atop the chart. It now ties for the most time at No. 1 among holiday hits in the chart’s 62-year history.
The song, which was part of Carey’s 1994 album Merry Christmas, first hit No. 1 last holiday season and stayed there for three weeks.
According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” logged 31.4 million U.S. streams (up 19%) and sold 7,000 downloads (up 8%) in the week ending December 10. It also tallied 27.1 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 11%) in the week ending December 13.
On the Streaming Songs chart, the track hit No. 1 for a seventh total week. It advanced 9-8 on Digital Song Sales, and rose 27-22 on Radio songs. On the multi-metric Holiday 100 chart, the song reached the top for a 43rd week.
With “Christmas” making it to the top again, Carey has extended her No. 1 record on the Hot 100 to an 83rd week.
