Orlando Bloom lives “just down the road” from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and reportedly often sends text messages to his royal neighbour regarding the paparazzi. The English actor, who lives with his fiancée Katy Perry and their daughter Daisy, is said to warn him when there are photographers in the area.

Prince Harry detailed their correspondence during a new podcast appearance.

“Two days ago Orlando Bloom sent me a message, because he is just down the road and we sort of keep in contact because of the paparazzi,” the royal revealed.

He was speaking to American actor Dax Shepard for his Armchair Expert series.

The Duke spoke candidly about his life in the royal family and growing up with privilege, as well as mental health issues.

During the chat, Harry said Orlando had told him about a photographer who was trying to take pictures of his family.

The father-of-one continued: “He sent me a photograph which his security got of this long-haired guy with a beanie on, ear pods on with his massive camera lying in the back of his 4×4 truck, blacked out windows.

“A woman driving who did the peace sign sitting there as a distraction and he is laid down in the back of this truck taking photographs of them out with their kid.”

“How is that normal, how is that acceptable?” the Duke exclaimed.

Despite this incident, the 36-year-old said that living in the United States was “way better” than when he was in the UK.

“Here, I can actually lift my head and I feel different,” Harry admitted.

He and the host likened being in the public eye to a combination of the 1998 film The Truman Show and being the main attraction in a zoo.

The Duke, who is already dad to two-year-old son Archie and is expecting a daughter this summer with his wife, said he feels “a little bit more free”.

Orlando’s pop star wife Katy gave birth to their first child in August last year.

The movie star is also dad to 10-year-old son Flynn.

He shares the youngster with his ex-wife, supermodel Miranda Kerr.

Yesterday, Orlando sent his social media followers into a spin when she shared a picture of himself on Instagram.

The Lord of the Rings star could be seen in a brown poncho with colourful trim, as he enjoyed a trek in the great outdoors.

“Ponch-bro,” he captioned the snap, which he shared with his five million followers.

The post prompted actress Gwyneth Paltrow to ask: “What are we going for here, just to be clear?”

“Singlehandy revived the poncho,” said model Helena Christensen.
