Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda and Clive Owen admit their marriage has hit ‘rocky patch’
Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her husband Clive have admitted they are navigating through a "rocky patch".
The Our Yorkshire Farm stars were hit with speculation that they were "battling to save their marriage" after 21 years, with Amanda said to staying in a nearby rental property to save their marriage.
And in a joint statement to OK!, the pair have revealed: "With the TV show and the books we've always aimed to show the reality of life on the farm, and just like any marriage we have our stresses and strains, coupled with all the complexities of what we do on the farm and bringing up nine kids.
"We're a normal family, and we've never said our marriage is perfect. Unfortunately, the constant intrusion into our lives from the media has amplified a rocky patch that we're going through," it was added.
This comes just hours after reports emerged that while Amanda was reportedly spending nights away, her other half Clive, 66, was allegedly "desperate" to work on their relationship and keep their marriage intact.
A source told The Sun: "It's incredibly sad. Amanda and Clive are two hugely popular figures here in the Dales, and no one saw this coming.
"Clive loves Amanda to bits and adores her and fears the marriage may be failing even though he desperately doesn't want it to. He fears they will divorce."
The insider went on to claim that Clive believes this will be the last series they film together as the future will be about "looking after the kids and putting them first".
According to the source, the pair will stay together for Christmas 2021 and then the "decision is very much in Amanda's hands."
"He will do as he's told," the source said.
Her representative previously told The Sun: "Amanda and Clive have not parted ways, and Amanda has not moved out of the family home."
Amanda and Clive are parents to Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, ten, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmie, five, and Nancy, four.
