Saira Khan ‘won’t be told what to do’ amid ‘difficult’ Loose Women feud after unfollowing three former co-stars

Saira Khan quit Loose Women just days into 2021 as it was her time to "bow out", not much longer after Andrea McLean packed her bags following 13 years as another one of the panellists.

Since making her departure from the ITV chat show, the 50-year-old presenter has made some pretty brutal digs at her former co-stars along the way, saying she "tolerated them" on the programme for five years. A source close to Saira has now revealed some exclusive details of the ongoing feud to OK! Magazine, revealing there seems to be much more going on behind the scenes at ITV.

While Saira posted a cryptic update with a picture which read, "You make friends with some people, you tolerate some people, and some people you are just there to do the job with – Saira Khan," an insider told OK! working on the show became particularly "difficult" when some of the presenters thought they were "above" everyone else.

She explained her thoughts further in the caption, "We have to stop people pleasing. We cannot be everything to everyone."

Following her decision to quit with her former co-presenter Andrea not to far ahead of her, it is believed Saira too head-strong to be told what to do.

“Saira is very strong-minded. We’ve seen Andrea go and now Saira. Some of the Loose Women think they’re above their stations," they began.

"There’s a bit of a thing of some talk over each other and there are some very opinionated people on that panel and don’t let you have a view. There was a lot of that going on. It can make it difficult."

While Saira already made her point perfectly clear via the picture-sharing site, the ongoing tension was taken to the next level after she blocked presenters Nadia Sawalha, Kaye Adams and Jane Moore from seeing more of her pictures on Instagram.

Despite this blow, Saira is still followed by Kaye and Jane on her skincare account and the ITV host continues to follow the rest of the stars, including, Stacey Solomon, Coleen Nolan, Ruth Langsford, Judi Love, Christine Lampard, Carol McGiffin, Denise Welch, Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards, Kelle Bryan.

"Saira is a very outspoken lady and she will not be told what to do. She has her own mind," the insider concluded.

The mum of two explained she believes in feminism which made it difficult for her to tolerate women in the workplace who undermined other females.

“I’m not for the masses, I’m for a very niche tribe who get me!” said Saira. “I’m very proud of my tribe and I’m very loyal to them. We are strong, fearless, positive, caring women who help others to reach their goals.”

The Dancing on Ice star, who concluded her post by sharing, “Integrity is something high up on my values list,” announced her decision before breaking the news to her now-former colleagues as she explained she didn't want a "big drama" and clarified she "makes her own decisions".
