Sarah Jessica Parker Says She's "Not Ready" to Mourn Willie Garson
The day after news of Willie Garson's death made headlines and fans everywhere offered their condolences to his family and shared memories of their time with him, one of his most prominent co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, is still processing the passing of her friend. While Sex and the City's cast, including Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, shared messages on social media, Parker's only message to friends and fans was a comment on Chris Noth's post.
Noth shared an image of Parker and Garson from the show, simply writing "Willie" alongside the photo. In the comments, Parker wrote, "Thank you dearest Chris. I'm not ready yet. Xxx," according to Entertainment Tonight.
Kim Cattrall also shared a message on Twitter, writing, "Such sad news and a terribly sad loss to the SATC family. Our condolences and RIP dear Willie xo."
"So deeply, deeply sad we have lost @Willie.Garson. We all loved him and adored working with him. He was endlessly funny on-screen and in real life," Nixon wrote on Instagram.
Davis shared that she first met Garson on the set of The X-Files before reminding everyone how much he is loved by the SATC community.
"I first met Willie in 1995 on the spooky nighttime set of the X-Files. He immediately made me laugh," she wrote on Instagram. "Little did I know that we would have the joy of sharing Sex and the City + And Just Like That together. Willie is beloved by our entire community. He was smarter and funnier than you ever would have imagined. We are bereft without him."
