Before leaving the park, guests were required by the Chinese government to test negative before they could leave, as to not spread the virus elsewhere.

The woman who initially caused the shut down “visited Shanghai Disneyland on Saturday either later turned up positive for Covid or came into contact with someone who had it, according to conflicting reports,” according to Deadline.

Shanghai Disneyland announced that they, as well as the nearby Disneytown, will reopen on Wednesday (November 3).

“Dear Guests, Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and patience over the past few days, as Shanghai Disneyland and Disneytown suspended operations according to directives on pandemic prevention and control,” they shared on their website.
