The 1975’s Matty Healy Says New Music From Drive Like I Do Coming ‘Pretty Soon’
The 1975‘s Matty Healy took to Instagram on Tuesday (February 16) to reveal that Drive Like I Do will be releasing new music “pretty soon.” Healy was part of Drive Like I Do before he joined The 1975.
The singer, who had posted a couple of in-studio snaps earlier, captioning the post, “finished DLID today,” and added that “It’s not a full album you guys r crazy.”
“There’s a lot of people asking me about Drive Like I Do… Drive Like I Do was the band we were before The 1975, so it’s kind of, it’s as humble as it always was. So there’s the old music, there’s a little bit of new music – I’m not going to make a fanfare about it,” he said.
He further said that new music from DLID is due out “pretty soon.
It’ll be a nice little thing. There’s loads of things going on, coming out: so, I’m excited.”
DLID’s last EP was Scary Monsters in October. The 1975 released Notes on a Conditional Form in May 2020.
