This heartwarming movie is more than worth seeing though, even though it’s fairly underrated as far as Disney films go. As a new take on the Winnie The Pooh franchise, Ewan McGregor plays Christopher Robin as an adult as he is reunited with his beloved toy characters as he learns that family is more important than work.

Fans were anxious to see how Emily Blunt’s portrayal of the popular nanny would work and it’s fair to say she did an amazing job, teaming up with Lin Manuel Miranda for another fantastic musical adventure. With more catchy songs and another emotional story, the movie ended up being a huge success, carrying on Mary Poppins’ legacy for a new generation.

8 Dumbo (Box Office: $353,284,621)

Dumbo was yet another movie that Disney decided to create a live-action version of, which has become a trend for the company in recent years. Although this wasn’t quite as big of a success as some of the others. The film still performed well, grossing $353,284,621 box office, and it forced the writers to be a little more creative in comparison to other live actions since this wasn’t a strict remake.

This movie follows the journey of Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) in a world solely made up of animals, with Judy being a cop bunny, and Nick a criminal fox. However, when animals start going savage, the duo are forced to work together in order to uncover the conspiracy behind it.

The live-action version of Aladdin made a staggering $1,050,693,953 at the box office worldwide. Due to its popularity, people definitely worried about this adaptation, but given the incredible box office numbers, it’s clear to see that fans enjoyed the new version just as much.

With Will Smith taking on the role of the Genie, following in the footsteps of Robin Williams, he certainly brought his own twist to the role.

It should be no surprise that the live-action version of The Lion King grossed an unbelievable $1,655,141,409 at the box office worldwide as the original animated movie is one of the most popular in Disney’s library.

When it was announced that a live-action film was being created, some fans were a little skeptical about what to expect from it, with the classic being so beloved, but Disney really did a great job here.
