Fast and Furious FEUD: The Rock slams ‘CLOWN’ Tyrese Gibson after Hobbs and Shaw success?

A couple of years ago a set feud between The Rock and other stars of The Fate of the Furious was raging. Dwayne Johnson alluded to a “chicken sh** candy ass” in a social media post during production, which is believed to be referring to Vin Diesel. While in late 2017, Tyrese Gibson slammed The Rock for delaying Fast and Furious 9 by making spin-off Hobbs and Shaw. And since the latter’s release, Gibson hit out again in a now-deleted Instagram post.

The post alluded to Hobbs and Shaw’s lower box office takings compared to the rest of the franchise.

The removed post read: “I have to show my respects for one thing…. He tried…….. Folks called me a hater…. Attacked me for speaking out…..Breaking up the family clearly doesn’t have the value that one would assume it does.

“Hobbs & Shaw Has Lowest Fast & Furious Box Office Opening Since Tokyo Drift… You know what maybe just maybe…

“The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10 we can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years what they want……..No hating I’m just pointing out the facts. #FastFamily has more value as the #FastFamily its ok.”

Now it appears The Rock has subtly responded to Gibson in a celebratory post of Hobbs and Shaw being the No 1 movie in the world.

Johnson wrote on his social media channels: “Thank you everyone for makin’ this an exciting first week of box office for our lil’ spin-off @hobbsandshaw. #1 movie and $333M worldwide, ain’t too shabby.

“And remember, the best way to shut the mouth of a [clown emoji] is to flex with success and a smile.”

Meanwhile, the late Paul Walker’s brother Cody won’t rule out Brian O’Conner returning in a future Fast and Furious movie.

Speaking with Metro ahead of FuelFest UK on Sunday, Cody said: “You know there’s a lot of things that are said about the franchise, there’s a lot of rumours going around.

“I think anything is possible and we’ll see what the future has in store.

“There are a lot of things that are said out there.

“There’s a rumour that the franchise might go to outer space next, so you never know… nothing is off the table, never say never.”
