Gwyneth Paltrow had no idea she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming
Marvel’s Cinematic Universe is a complicated web of crossovers and dimension jumps, so much so, Gwyneth Paltrow completely forgot she starred in one of them.
The 46-year-old actress, who plays Pepper Potts, appeared on Jon Favreau’s new Netflix show The Chef Show, where she admitted how she completely forgot about starring in 2017 flick Spider-Man: Homecoming.
In a clip from the show, Favreau, who plays Happy Hogan in the MCU, brought up how they filmed together on the flick, prompting a bemused expression from Gwyneth.
‘We were in Spider-Man together,’ Favreau said. ‘Remember Spider-Man?’
‘We weren’t in Spider-Man,’ Gwyneth said. ‘I was in Avengers.’
After Favreau reminded her of Tom Holland’s presence on set in the scene where they walk out for a press conference, Gwyneth replied: ‘That was Spider-Man?! Oh my God!’
Gwyneth has appeared in a number of Marvel films as Pepper Potts, including Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
If you’re excited about more Spider-Man, Homecoming’s sequel Far From Home is set to be released next month starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio.
