A look at Wayne Lineker £30million net worth as he gets ‘engaged’ to Chloe Ferry

Wayne Lineker has dubbed Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry his "wifey" after the pair took to social media to claim they are now engaged.

The unlikely duo met on the latest series of Celebs Go Dating, where they were both on their own missions to find true love with non-celebrity contestants.

Wayne uploaded the snap of the pair looking lovingly at each other while Chloe is boasting a huge diamond ring on her finger to his Instagram, before the 58-year-old Ibiza club owner created quite the stir online with his caption "She said YES! Love you @chloegshore1."

Chloe then uploaded an image of herself, but this time the diamond ring was absent from the shot – causing fans to speculate that the "engagement" may simply be a publicity stunt.

Though Wayne's comment beneath the snap, which read "looking good wifey", has only caused the rumour mill to go further into overdrive.

Fans of the reality TV star flooded her picture with comments such as: "Where the ring at?" while another enquired "Are you engaged to Wayne?"

Fans were left stunned following the "engagement announcement", given it has only been a few weeks since the pair were spotted together on our screens for the E4 hit series – where romance of this magnitude was hardly on the cards.

Wayne is on record as previously stating how it was a "shame" he couldn't date Chloe on Celebs Go Dating when he posted a picture of the pair.

The caption on that particular read: “Shame I’m not allowed to date the celebs.”

Wayne Lineker's Net Worth

Despite the fact Wayne is certainly less frequently on our screens than his brother and football superstar Gary, Wayne's net worth still sits at a staggering £30million due to the vast amount of nightclubs and bars he owns.

The proud owner of a number of clubbing hotspots on the party island of Ibiza, Lineker can count plenty of famous faces as friends due to the huge number of footballers, television personalities and socialites that visit his venues.

Dating History

The club owner has never been shy about his desire to date someone significantly younger than him, once claiming 28 or 29 years old was the perfect age for any potential partner.

Holly Willoughby recently grilled Lineker on This Morning, when she asked: "What’s wrong with women your own age?"

Following some advice from the dating experts on Celebs Go Dating, Wayne agreed 30 to 45 would be the ideal "age gap" for a partner.

"I am opening up, I’ve come to realise, even though there would still be a large age gap, 30-45 would be ideal."

He went on to add: "I don’t know. I wouldn’t rule it out but everyone has their own attractions don’t they?"

Wayne caused controversy online when he unveiled a detailed checklist on all the things he expects from his dream girlfriend.

Lineker told Holly: "It's bordering on controversial, I tried to take some things from previous relationships, the comments about you must be able to prepare to give up your job or prepare to work on a beach that's because my last relationship broke up because she got a new career.

"My family are very concerned about me, when I'm single I tend to get carried away and go out too much, I am looking for a relationship and I'm ready to settle down, believe it or not, I am ready to be single I don't need this crazy lifestyle I lead."
