Following on from Brian May’s 74th birthday last week, celebrations now turn to his fellow Queen legend Roger Taylor, who turned 72-years-old yesterday. Brian posted a picture of the pair of them during an interview labelled: “Queen’s Brian May explains what he admires most about Roger Taylor.” Which the guitarist captioned: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROG !!! I think this was a very short but sincere explanation ! Bri X.”

According to Rock Celebrities, what Brian said of Roger Taylor was: “As a drummer, he’s completely unique because you always know when it’s him behind the drums.

“He has a way of making the drums sound like a creamy entity that hangs glues together and I’ve never known anyone else that can do that thing.”

Also wishing the Queen drummer a happy 72nd birthday were some of the Queen and Adam Lambert band members, including bassist Neil Fairclough.

He posted a couple of pictures of Roger; one from his youth and another from a recent tour.
