Lethal Weapon actor Anthony Johnson dies after being found ‘lifeless in store’

Actor and comedian Anthony "AJ" Johnson has passed away at the age of 55.
The star's nephew told online publication TMZ that Anthony was found laying lifeless in a Los Angeles store earlier this month.
He was later rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead.
According to TMZ, the cause of his death has not yet been released.
In 2017, the Hollywood star reportedly suffered a panic attack while at LaGuardia Airport in New York when on his way to a comedy show.
However, it is not known if his previous issues with anxiety are linked to his passing.
Anthony was best known for his comedic roles in films such as, House Party and Friday, he also starred in the Lethal Weapon franchises.
His other acting credits include Moesha, Malcom & Eddie and The Players Club.
In 2019, the comic starred in the films I Got The Hook Up 2 and The Dummy.
The actor was born and raised in Compton, California but he found his way into acting through his father who worked as a stuntman.
Anthony's acting career began in the 90s but he later discovered a love for stand-up comedy.
Not only this, but the star also appeared in several music videos too, including Dr Dre's Dre Day, where he played Sleazy-E, a parody of Eazy-E.
After the success of the Film Friday in 1995, rumours circulated that Anthony was set to reprise his role in the upcoming movie Last Friday, the final instalment in the Friday franchise.
Since the announcement of his death, fans have paid their tributes on social media.
Taking to Twitter one fan penned: "RIP Anthony Johnson. He had more quotable lines in one movie than a lot of people's careers."
Another said: "Rest in paradise Anthony Johnson, one of the funniest comedians in the 90’s. He’ll be missed."
A third wrote: "So sad to hear of his passing…RIP Anthony Johnson aka Ezal."
"RIP Anthony Johnson. Man was a part of so many of our classics," a fourth commented.
Throughout the course of his career, Anthony appeared in nearly 50 films and TV shows.
