Amanda Holden has candidly revealed her son Theo "took her world away" following his stillbirth.

The 49 year old and her husband Chris Hughes devastatingly lost their baby boy in 2011, with her previously describing it as a "horrific day".

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda has now opened up on the tragedy, as she has dedicated one of the songs on her album to Theo.

Songs From My Heart contains a number of covers of West End hits, with one of the tracks being With You from Ghost.

The last two lines of the song are: "You took my life with you, took my hope with you."

Speaking on Thursday's Loose Women, she said: "It's about grief and it's about loss and it's one of my favourite ever songs.

"When I sang it, it was actually my husband Chris who floored me one afternoon when he said, 'the last two lines of that song really remind me of how I felt when we lost Theo,' and I've been very vocal about how I felt and Chris has been quite typically male and been really strong and gathered round the family and looked after me.

"We talked about it but he never really showed his emotions because he just wanted to be that tower of strength, so when he actually shared that with me, it really knocked me for six, so it's for Theo.

"It's how I think people feel when they lose somebody or if they go through something terrible like we did. It does, it takes your world away from you, it takes everything away from you. You never forget but you gradually move forward."

She went on to say of her and her husband's difference in emotions: "I've always said to Chris that we're like the plus and minus on a battery, it wouldn't really work. We're two double A's the wrong way round.

"We're very, very different people and, for us, our relationship works because of that. Chris is a lot more considered and quiet and I'm more out there.

"If you arrive at my house I'm like a dog, I will literally paw and lick you but Chris will stand back and have a nice chat with you, that's how I'd describe us."
