Awkward moment as The Chase's Shaun Wallace hits back at contestant after cheeky dig

THE Chase's Shaun Wallace hits back at contestant after they made acheeky dig on yesterday's episode.

Host Bradley Walsh was joined by four new contestants as they took on The Dark Destroyer in a bid to win a prize pot.

Complaints handler Helen went head-to-head with Shaun after securing a £3,000 in a shaky cash builder round.

Bradley asked Helen which Chaser she wanted to face in the next round.

She told the Doctor Who star: "I think Shaun has a tendency to get flustered."

After Shaun emerged from backstage, he joked: "So you handle complaints, do you? Well, I've got a persistent problem. He's [Bradley] standing right next to you."

Helen quipped: "If only I could help."

However, when it came to the cash offers, Shaun made sure her cheeky remark didn't go unpunished.

He told her: "For that cheeky remark £300, for that even cheekier remark £18,000."

Helen opted for the £3,000 offer and just managed to make it through the final.

Meanwhile, Bradley also managed to squeeze in a cheeky dig at Helen after shaky performance.

Going head to head with Shaun, Helen was immediately left stumped at the first question.

Bradley asked what is the meaning of "kidology".

She was given three possible answers goat Keeping, baby Sitting or deceiving people – with the correct answer being the later.

Helen went for "goat keeping" leaving Bradley bemused and viewers scratching their heads.

Bradley was baffled that Helen made it back to the final round, he quipped: "I got to be honest with you Helen, I thought we got a bit jammy there to be honest."

One wrote: "How on earth has Helen got through? #TheChase,"

Another said: "I'm sorry, but goat keeping! #TheChase."

A third joked: "Seen it all now "kidology"… looking after goats #thechase."

Unfortunately, the guests couldn’t beat the Chaser this time and went home empty handed.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
