The 2020 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! kicked off on ITV this evening and viewers saw the ten celebrities arrive in the Welsh castle they will now call home for the next few weeks. The first Bushtucker Trial saw all contestants taking part and it was an epic and abrupt introduction to Castle life – The Gates To Hell. For Coronation Street’s Beverly Callard, she didn’t have the best time, especially when she was left rummaging for critters in her clothes. Luckily, Victoria Derbyshire was on hand to help her out and the BBC Two presenter made a remark about the actress’ cleavage.
Viewers tuned in to see ten linked cages, with each celebrity asked to stand inside one.
The all-important stars for food started in the first chamber and the celebrities had to transport the stars through the chambers via a series of ways; through mesh with their hands, or with a magnet to the final gate.
Shane Ritchie was in the first cage and he passed the star to Jessica Plummer who passed it onto Giovanna Fletcher.
Vernon Kay, AJ Pritchard and Hollie Arnold were next, followed by Beverley, Jordan North, Victoria and finally Sir Mo Farah CBE.
But obviously, they were not alone in the cages; cockroaches, crickets, mealworms and maggots were thrown on top of them.
In the end, they won seven stars for camp.
“First Trial done. Feel ecstatic that we got so many stars and that it’s all over,” Victoria commented.
However, not all celebrities had a positive outlook on the trial, BBC Radio One’s Jordan said: “That was absolutely horrific.”
But Beverley argued she had “the worse one”.
She was soon distracted by something wriggling around her clothes, and the actress started screaming and jumping around.
“Oh my god this is my worst nightmare,” Beverley shouted. “Listen darling, I’ve fallen in love with you if you’ve got rid of them!” She told Jordan.
By the time they had returned to camp, Beverley was still fidgeting, convinced there was something under her clothes.
She suggested they go to a separate area to debug so the critters weren’t scurrying around their living quarters.

It was here that Victoria offered to check Beverley’s chest area as she said she could feel something crawling around her bra.
“Magnificent breasts,” the journalist remarked. “What a cleavage!”
“Oh my God, they’re pushed up beyond belief!” Beverley replied.
After removing the unwanted critters, the campmates gathered for their first dinner.
They were given rabbit, mushrooms and then their usual rice and beans.
But Beverley struggled with the meat. “I can’t eat bunny!” she exclaimed. “When they said rabbit for dinner, I was like ‘No, no, not for me.’”
Jessica also forewent the rabbit: “I had a pet rabbit when I was a kid called Boris and I just think of him.”
