The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh had fans in stiches on Friday afternoon's programme after he continued to tell contestants that they were "better than that".

Some players performed fairly poorly on the popular quizzing show but to encourage the team, Bradley used his popular phrase and told them that they were better than what they actually were.

Viewers at home certainly picked up on Bradley's encouraging words and rushed to Twitter to air their views.

One fan chimed: "You liar, Brad! She’s not better and she knows it!"

Another added: "Bradley's catchphrases are getting boring."

A third said: "She’s (not) a better player than that."

"He’s a better player than that," another fan penned followed by numerous laughing emojis.

The players on Friday's episode unfortunately did not walk away with any money, even though two of them did manage to make it to the final round.

Contestant Rob seemed to gain the most reaction from viewers at home as he appeared fairly confident when it was his turn to have a go.

Rob who was a Youtuber and poker player, failed to impress in the first round and only answered one question correctly.

Despite this, Rob's confidence continued to shine through when he went head to head with The Vixen, Jenny Ryan.

To viewers surprise, Rob went for the high offer and tried to secure £50,000 in the kitty.

At this point, viewers at home were on Rob's side and penned motivating words on Twitter.

"Oooooh………….. he’s going high lol!!" A surprised fan said.

Another added: "Well I was wrong! He took the high offer. Good luck lad!"
