I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returned to screens on Tuesday night after the contestants had to be removed from the castle and placed into quarantine while ITV bosses waited out Storm Arwen. The reality series was forced to axe three episodes because of damage to the castle caused by the storm. While the location of where the celebrities were quarantined has not been revealed, fans were left furious when the stars admitted to eating chocolate and treats before returning to the castle.

In Wednesday’s instalment of I’m A Celebrity, the campmates were reunited in the North Wales castle after spending days apart.

Loose Women host Frankie Bridge told her fellow campmates: “It feels so amazing to be back, which are words that I never thought would come out of my mouth.

“I never thought I’d want to see a castle ever again.”

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin said: “It’s not quite like being at home but it is like coming home and it’s absolutely wonderful. I’ve missed everyone!”

Louise admitted to Frankie and ex-Emmerdale star Danny Miller that she ate a chocolate bar during her stay away from the camp.

She star explained: “I literally tried not to inhale it. It went straight through me, ill.”

Frankie also confessed to eating some sweet treats, telling Louise: “I ate a whole fruit and nut and a whole bag of Squashies.”

Their admissions to eating chocolate were frowned upon by many fans who took to social media to vent about the matter.

@Ursroseanne tweeted: “They ate whatever they wanted? might as well have given them access to social media too! #ImACeleb”

@funkygibbons added: “They were given a bed and decent food #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity.”

@rockyycobb remarked: “#ImACeleb this year is a complete joke, three days away from the castle, option to have luxuries such as decent food and showers, it should have been cancelled.”

However, Danny insisted carried on living like he was in the camp when he appeared in the Telegraph on Wednesday’s episode.

He explained: “I stuck to it [Castle life]. I didn’t even sleep in the bed.

“I only ate rice and beans whilst away from the Castle.”

Viewers praised Danny for continuing to live off rations while some of the other campmates tucked into chocolate.

@congotsja tweeted: “#ImACeleb time. I admire that Danny kept up eating rice and beans and stuff to be fair.”

During Wednesday’s instalment Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips also opened up on returning to camp.

Arlene said in the Telegraph: “It was strange coming into camp. Weirdly it just really felt like no big deal, I’m just coming home to finish off something I’ve started.”

EastEnders’ actor Adam Woodyatt also said he was “glad to be back” in the castle as he’d missed the camaraderie and people to be silly with.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues on ITV at 9pm.
