Coronation Street fans predict Aadi’s downfall after his drunken revenge on Dev
Coronation Street fans have predicted the start of fan-favourite Aadi Alahan’s downfall after constantly being pegged as second best behind sisters Asha and Amber.
Aadi had his dreams of moving to London snatched away from him during Tuesday’s instalment of the hit ITV soap when his business owner dad Dev offered him a manager role at his corner shop.
While he watched his ambitious girlfriend Summer Spellman continue her studies to get into Oxford University, Aadi was told to close up the store while Dev tended to his late-night takeaway business.
But after his plans for his future life in London were dampened, the budding apprentice decided to act out against his father by getting drunk in the store and close up early.
But it didn’t stop there as rebellious Aadi then decided to key his father’s brand new car and smash the driver’s side window in as payback for ruining his plans.
Luckily, the viewers at home took pity on Aadi as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his latest outburst online.
One user penned: “Poor Aadi, wouldn’t be surprised if this is the start of him going off the rails.”
Another agreed: “I just get the feeling that Aadi is going to do something to destroy Devs businesses. Payback for him favouring Asha!”
A third chimed in with: “Oh, ffs now they’re going to turn Aadi into an alkie – Alkie Aadi.”
Meanwhile, another fan of the show argued: “What has Aadi ever got from Dev for being the good one. Not a lot. I don’t blame him at all for feeling the way he does.”
