Coronation Street spoiler sees Norris Cole die with soap set to air special tribute show

Coronation Street is set for emotional scenes next week as Weatherfield's residents discover that Norris Cole has died.

Norris, played by Malcolm Hebden, has been a key character on the cobbles since 1994 and he last paid a visit to the street in 2020.

In the upcoming episodes, the locals discover the sad news that Norris has died after suffering a stroke.

But his former wife Mary and his current love Freda are soon at odds over the funeral arrangements. And when Claudia arrives and gives her opinion on the matter, Rita has to step in to stop the squabbling.

But as the ructions continue, can they really arrange a peaceful send-off for one of the Street’s most treasured residents?

ITV has also confirmed that there will be a special tribute show to celebrate Norris Cole, actor Malcom and the character's time on the cobbles, including his most memorable moments and classic storylines.

Coronation Street Icons: Norris Cole is narrated by Sally Lindsay and it will feature interviews with Norris actor Malcom, as well as co-stars past and present. It will air on Monday 13 September.

Elsewhere on the cobbles next week, Tyrone Dobbs is torn between girlfriend Alina Pop and ex Fiz Stape. The character is left further jealous when Fiz heads out with her new man, Phill.

Barging in on their romantic date when Phill’s back is turned, Ty tells Fiz he wants her back, but how will she react?

Later, he confesses his true feelings to Alina, and she takes revenge by dumping their couple picture on the street with the word “Liar” scrawled all over Ty’s image.

As Alina leaves Weatherfield, has Ty lost both women for good and how will he react?

Also, Yasmeen’s delighted when her grandson, Zeedan, returns. He soon gets them out of a tricky situation at Speed Dahl after Alya falls victim to a scam. But Alya is suspicious that there is more going on…
