Coronation Street's Gary Windass will be left fighting for his life as Rick Neelan lures him into the woods to MURDER him

CORONATION Street's Gary Windass will be left fighting for his life after Rick Neelan tries to murder him.

In upcoming scenes for the soap, ITV have revealed how the builder- played by Mikey North- will be attacked by the loan shark again after Rick lures him into the woods.

The enemies begin fighting and Gary will be seen looking defeated by Rick- played by Gary Wood- as he pins him down to the ground.

The new bad boy has plans to kill Gary in the shocking scenes, which result in him fighting for his life after he brutally beats him and leaves him for dead.

Gary first came into contact with Rick when he was forced take out an £11k loan with him to keep Jason Grimshaw’s builder’s yard going and pay the workers.

However, the repayments soon got out of hand and Gary ended up trying to flog loans for Rick to pay off his debt, but was so terrible at it that Rick got him doing collections instead.

But, Gary’s conscience got in the way again when he helped Vicky Jefferies do a runner by locking Sharon – another one of Rick’s heavies – in a cupboard.

And his ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt caused further friction between the pair when she stole his passport back from Rick's office, as well as the passports of his other loan victims.

Sarah's actions resulted in a horrific beating from Rick at his office, however Gary luckily managed to escape after  the police arrived.

Since meeting the loan shark, Gary has been going down a "dark path", which has spiralled even further out of control since he split from Sarah.

Sarah- played by Tina O'Brien- dramatically ended her relationship with Gary after Rick threatened the lives of her and her children to get him to continue working for him.

And Corrie fans were left shocked a few weeks ago when Gary was revealed as the soap's new "super villain" who was responsible for the Underworld factory roof collapse and Rana Habeeb's subsequent death.

However, the actor who plays the builder gone rogue has admitted that it might be some time before Gary’s caught out.

He revealed: "I don’t think Gary has any intention of being caught for a long time yet and he won’t go down without a fight that’s for sure. The stakes are high now for Gary and he’s got nothing to lose."

Meanwhile, it looks like the near fatal fight in next week's episode could be the turning point for Gary, who is set to take revenge on the loan shark in the coming weeks.

The Sun Online exclusively revealed that Gary is set to become a serial killer as he targets Rick following months of working to pay off his debts.

A Corrie insider said: “Gary’s involvement in the Underworld roof collapsewas only just the start of his demise.

“He becomes an all-out bad boy after the breakdown of his relationship with Sarah Platt.

“It’s going to cause shockwaves in Weatherfield and have huge implications for Gary.”
