Emmerdale fans query ‘continuity error’ as Jimmy has ‘personality transplant’

Emmerdale fans have been left confused by a potential 'continuity error' as they theorise Jimmy King must have undergone a 'personality transplant'.

Jimmy, a usually laid-back comedy character, was seen raging at Juliette on Thursday after she let herself into his house – and on Friday, as he confronted Mack and Charity at the Woolpack, he had finally had enough.

As Jimmy railed at the dodgy duo, blaming "women" for all the problems in his life, fans became concerned.

"What's happened to Jimmy in Emmerdale? He's miserable [and] seems to be having a breakdown," one viewer wrote on social media.

Another agreed: "Well if Jimmy doesn't go to prison, he'll blow a head gasket and end up in hospital or worse."

"I think Jimmy's finding his backbone but has no weight with it all!" someone else commented.

Someone else posted: "Jimmy has head trauma after [the] accident!"

By the end of the episode, Jimmy had admitted to Nicola that it was time to end their marriage, saying: "I'm calling it."

The couple, who have been a soap staple since 2010, have been through a lot together – from Nicola's accident which left her paralysed to the current custody battle with Juliette over Carl.

The couple discovered little Carl's wet pyjamas after learning he was wetting the bed due to their constant arguing.

But it appears Jimmy's van crash, which killed villain Paul Ashdale, is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Jimmy's behaviour does seem understandable, especially after he was charged with death by dangerous driving – and could face a prison sentence.
