Emmerdale spoilers: Amy Wyatt blackmailed by Cain Dingle after tragic factory discovery?

Amy (played by Natalie Ann Jamieson) discovered she and mother Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) had caused the Emmerdale factory fire which claimed the life of Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) last week after a botched robbery attempt had gone wrong.

Kerry and Amy had taken cash from the safe inside the Sharma factory before the deal blaze, but ripped out the disc of the CCTV footage to cover their tracks, only for their actions to cause a ferocious fire.

The sweet factory employees were desperate to raise some cash so Amy could begin a legal case against Cain (Jeff Hordley) for custody of their young son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn).

Upcoming scenes will see Kerry try to pin the blame of the tragedy on another villager’s shoulders but with Amy reeling in tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, the young mother could make a very rash decision by confiding in Cain.

At the moment, it seems Cain would be the last person Amy would turn too, with her boyfriend Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) determined to help his lover.

Viewers already know, Nate will be embarking on a steamy affair with Cain’s wife Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) to try and help Amy’s case in her custody of Kyle.

With Nate’s attentions on Moira in the coming weeks and her mother focussing on getting them out the clear, Amy’s guilt could become too much to bear.

Although they are currently at loggerheads over the custody battle, Amy could turn to Cain for advice as she knows he has had his fair share of trouble in the past, most recently believing he’d killed Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

Cain struggled with harbouring his guilt after supposedly killing Joe, eventually confessing his sins to Moira and daughter Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) as he was unable to keep his deadly secret.

After a police investigation was launched, it was revealed Joe was alive and well which meant Cain was out the clear, resuming his life as a free man.

It makes things worse

However, in exchange for helping her out her situation, Cain could tell Amy she either give up the court case and let him have Kyle, or he tells the police about her deadly secret.

Knowing it could be her only way out her deadly dilemma, will Amy really give into Cain’s demands to ensure her freedom?

Emmerdale has promised more twists and turns as the aftermath of the inferno continues, so could this be one of the biggest, changing Amy’s life forever?

As Amy and Kerry try to hide their secret, things aren’t looking too great for the Sharma family either after Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) found out his father Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) had made a deal with Kim Tate (Claire King) to help them with their tricky financial situation.

Jai’s troubles won’t be over anytime soon as actor Chris Bisson, 44, told press including Express.co.uk: “Jai is in the centre of this swirling whirlpool and he’s been sucked down the vortex in the middle!”

“Whichever way he turns to make things better, it makes things worse in another way,” the soap star continued.

“It goes on for a while and it is a good story. You’ll see how it puts pressure on Jai’s relationship with Laurel, which is interesting.”

Chris explained: “The factory fire is the end of an era, and it also marks me having been on Emmerdale for 10 years.

“That’s when we first introduced the factory. I’m surprised it hasn’t blown up sooner, it’s lasted a long time in the soap world!”

Will he ever discover Amy and Kerry betrayed him?

Emmerdale continues Tuesday at 7pm on ITV.
