Emmerdale star promises ‘intense’ Christmas storyline for Meena after Ben murder on ITV soap

Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu has revealed that Meena Jutla will have an "intense" Christmas storyline.

Only recently, Meena, who has already killed Leanna Cavanagh and Andrea Tate, murdered Ben Tucker in chilling scenes that aired on Thursday (25 November).

And now actress Paige, who plays Meena on the ITV soap, has promised an "intense" Christmas storyline for her character and even admitted that the scripts are "ten times crazier" than she could have imagined.

Speaking to Inside Soap, she said: "Meena has a very intense Christmas. It's definitely going to get wilder.

"The scripts I've read are 10 times crazier than I could ever have imagined. I do think Meena would kill anyone and have no qualms about it. She'd kill anyone who gets in her way, but it remains to be seen who she will go after next!

"Every time I open my new script, I'm like, 'She does WHAT?' The writing team always shock me with what they have in store next."

During Thursday's episode, Ben rushed back into the Hop to help an unconscious Meena after his near escape with the incriminating video evidence needed to bring her down.

Unsurprisingly, Meena came out on top after she bludgeoned Ben to death with an oar and took back the damning video footage in chilling scenes.

However, eagle-eyed fans have now predicted how the evil nurse, who has also previously killed Leanna and Andrea, could get her comeuppance in the village.

It comes after Emmerdale teased explosive festive episodes and hinted that Meena could kill again with Dawn Taylor her potential next victim.

The hit ITV soap has warned that the upcoming scenes will be a "Christmas the villagers will never forget" and will leave some things "changed forever".

And with Dawn set to get close to Billy Fletcher, she could find herself as Meena's next murder victim, as she too sets her sights on Billy after her ex David Metcalfe picked Victoria Sugden.

While Emmerdale has teased that other villagers could also in danger from the "evil" nurse, who so far has killed residents Leanna, Andrea and now Ben.

Teasing what soap fans can expect during the festive episodes, ITV said: "The Emmerdale villagers awake to a thin dusting of what appears to be snow on Christmas morning but is all as it seems? Soon we flashback to the hours that preceded this flurry and understand what really happened.

"It’s the season of good will, but the underhanded Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) goes sparing on dishing out any joy, particularly when he is feeling under so much pressure.

"Will Al find a solution for his financial problems or could his world collapse?

"The seasonal cheer will give some villagers the confidence to make life-changing decisions and fresh starts with their lives. Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) is hopeful for what hers will bring.

"Christmas Day at the Dingles is usually a happy family celebration but recently divisions have formed in this clan. With Sam Dingle (James Hooton) desperate to make things better, can he reunite them at this time?

"The sense of a threat from within the Village still looms large, but it is now Dawn (Olivia Bromley) who needs to watch her back? But could there be other villagers in danger before the week is over?

"There is love on the cards this Christmas week for some, but jealousy looms large despite a Christmas proposal.

"It is likely to be an emotional Christmas for Dr Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) given it’s the first without daughter Leanna. But when he enjoys a little too much wine a drunk Liam is rescued, but could he find himself in a dangerous situation?

"As the dust clears it is soon apparent this will be a Christmas the villagers will never forget, leaving some things changed forever."
