GMB fans in hysterics as Piers Morgan sees his face photoshopped in meme lad pic

Good Morning Britain fans were left cracking up during Monday morning’s show when hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid saw their faces photoshopped onto an infamous meme.

Birmingham and Coventry lads Connor Humpage, Kevin Rooney, and Jamie Phillips appeared on the show, after a photo they had taken on a night out went viral.

Pictured wearing tight trousers and shirts, the photo became an overnight sensation, inspiring hundreds of memes and TikTok videos across the UK.

Piers was delighted with the superimposed snap, saying: "I think I look quite good in those trousers.

"Only our team would have cut them off at the waist!"

Their faces glued over the lads' muscular bodies, Dr Hilary Jones also made an appearance in the snap, along with weather expert Alex Beresford.

Piers quipped: "Dr Hilary looking good there on his big night out!"

Taken during a night out at All Bar One and Slug and Lettuce in Birmingham, the lads were initially disappointed to see the photo spread online.

The foursome explained, amongst the jokes, they'd received a number of nasty messages from trolls, with some cyberbullies even contacting their mums.

However, Connor, Kevin, and Jamie decided to make the most out of the attention received by the meme, appearing on the show in an act of goodwill.

Piers was impressed by their positive attitude, as he said: "If you can’t beat them, go with it."

He also condemned those who had bullied the lads online, saying: "It's funny now but clearly not funny when you’re in the eye of that."

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were hugely entertained by the segment, as they praised the lads for taking the mockery on the chin.

One said: "Seeing @susannareid100 superimposed on to Conners body on the #seashanty 4 lads meme is going to confuse A LOT of people! HAH Brilliant."

"Aww nice guys .. must have found it hard to deal with at times .. hope they make a shed load of money," wrote a second.

And a third chimed: "The meme with the four lads singing in tight trousers was brilliant!"

Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
