What will happen in Granchester season 6?

Grantchester is based on The Grantchester Mysteries, a collection of short stories written by James Runcie.

No doubt, the new series will continue to see vicar William Davenport and Detective Inspector Geordie Keating solve unusual deaths within the quaint village of Grantchester.

The first series only drew from six stories of the first book, so there is plenty of source material for the sixth series.

During the Instagram live video, Green revealed he had received a hint about the arc of season six.

He said how the mystery of DI Geordie Keating’s hat would be revealed in season six.

Green explained: “In every series, part of the costume is his hat, I’ve only worn it twice but I carry it around with me.

“You find out in the next season, why I carry the hat.

“It’s not just about the hat, maybe there’s something under his hat that may be revealed.”

He continued: “There a reason I have to have it with me everywhere I go and that is revealed in series six.

Green added:”It’s very moving and very poignant. It’s beautiful.”

The synopsis for the first episode reads:  In the first episode of the new series, Geordie, Cathy and their family, Will, Leonard and Mrs C take a much needed holiday together.

“However, what sets out to be a  fun-filled break for everyone at a holiday camp, is interrupted by a tragic death at the resort.

“Geordie and Will are left with no choice but to help out, as an investigation into the death begins. As events unfold on the trip, there will be serious repercussions for the rest of the series.”

Is there a trailer for Grantchester season 6?
