As Storm Arwen threatens to wreak havoc on Gwrych Castle, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! crew have been forced to abandon the live show as a precautionary measure. The hit ITV show fronted by Ant and Dec will be recorded in the early evening and broadcast later this evening instead. Following Richard Madeley’s precautionary departure, it’s the second blow the show has faced in a matter of days.
ITV has confirmed the celebrities will remain inside the secure castle, with contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios.
The storm is due to hit the local area around 9pm, just as live filming usually begins.
ITV released the following statement confirming the change: “Tonight’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be broadcast as a pre-recorded show rather than live due to the developing Storm Arwen and precautionary measures we’re putting into place on production.
“Ant and Dec will record their links early evening and these will be played out during tonight’s show.
“Our celebrities will remain inside the castle which is secure and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios to ensure the safety of our cast and crew.”
