Inside Emmerdale couple Mark Jordon and Laura Norton's country home with quirky art and wooden floors
EMMERDALE'S real-life couple Mark Jordon and Laura Norton have announced the arrival of their first child together.
The pair welcomed a little boy called Jesse, with 37-year-old Laura calling the birth "the most incredible, surreal experience I have ever had and probably ever will."
Laura and 56-year-old Mark met on the set of the ITV soap, with Laura playing Kerry Wyatt in Emmerdale since 2012.
Meanwhile, 56-year-old Mark played Daz Spencer from 2014 until 2019 – and the couple started dating when he joined the soap to as her on-screen brother-in-law.
They have since made a cosy life with one another, sharing an insight into their blissfully happy countryside home on social media.
Just like their characters Kerry and Daz, Laura and Mark's family home is only a stone's throw away from the rolling green hills of Yorkshire.
They regularly show off the pretty scenery surrounding their abode as they enjoy country walks together – with one snap showing Laura petting a horse as she strolled down the lanes one Autumn.
"Always got to stop and talk to the locals @larencenotrin," her fiancé affectionately captioned the sweet photo at the time.
And the scenery inside the house is equally as pleasant.
The pair have adorned their walls with a variety of quirky artwork, and add further character to their space with mismatched cushions and pillows – including fluffy and brightly coloured ones.
It is also clear to see that they love entertaining guests as they have plenty of comfortable sofas as well as a huge rustic wooden table in their kitchen.
The rustic feel can also be found in the living room, where wooden floors line the ground throughout, as well as light grey sofas and candles on the windowsills, for when they favour atmospheric lighting over the beaming Yorkshire sun.
Meanwhile, the kitchen has a modern look with chic white brick-look tiles matching the sleek cupboard doors.
It also gives an insight into their busy home, with postcards stuck on the oven fan, and plenty of crockery and other cooking utensils on show.
In fact, Mark and Laura revel in being just like the rest of us, with another snap of their beloved pet pooch Juno showing their wet washing drying on airer in the living room behind the pooch.
Mark has even shared a glimpse at their bathroom before – sharing his horror after the glass shower door exploded in the middle of the night.
He captioned the post: "Huge bang, left with this mess. No idea what happened nobody was near it.."
The image gave a sneak peak of their modern grey tiled floor, with steps leading up to the stand-alone shower.
Mark and Laura got engaged in 2018, with the pair keeping the news a secret from fans for a staggering seven months.
Jesse is their first child together, but Mark is also dad to adult children Joseph and Poppy from his previous marriage to Siobhan Finneran – with Laura having a great relationship with both.
