Love Island's Amy Hart QUITS the show after Curtis Pritchard broke her heart

HEARTBROKEN Love Island star Amy Hart has QUIT the villa after her devastating split from ballroom dancer Curtis Pritchard.

The former air-stewardess, 26, told producers she wanted out after an overwhelming week which saw her "half-boyfriend" dump her — becoming the fifth islander to leave the villa in 24 hours.

Her shock exit comes after the blonde was removed from the house last week and given extra therapy from the wellbeing team.

Fans of the reality show have been concerned about her "fragile" state of mind and begged bosses to get her out for her own good.

Her devastation was made even worse when Irish beauty Maura started openly flirting with Curtis in front of her.

A source close to Amy said: "It was Amy's decision to walk from the villa as she felt she had gotten as much as she could from the experience.

"She fell in love, had her heart broken and couldn't stand the thought of seeing Curtis crack on with other girls while under the same roof as her.

"She was given therapy and support from the producers at ITV and they felt she was emotionally sound enough to make her own decision. They would never dream of keeping someone in there if they weren't happy about it."

Her decision to walk comes after days of agonising scenes that saw Curtis fall for Jourdan Riane, 24, while Amy told housemates she was falling in love with him.

But Curtis, the brother of Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ, left her heartbroken when he dumped shortly following her return from Casa Amor.

It prompted more than 200 complaints to watchdog Ofcom.

Tearful Amy spoke to the show's therapist about her woes.

She said: “I thought I’d met my first love and ‘the one’ and it turns out I haven’t. I’m someone’s back-up plan yet again.

“I wouldn’t have ever looked at anyone else. He was my future and now I have nothing and he’s taken that away from me.”

A show source added: “Amy has decided to leave the villa after she didn’t find love with Curtis.

"She is a strong woman who knows her own mind and the show has given her the confidence to give finding love on the outside a go."

After the pair confirmed their split, Irish beauty Maura Higgins has since tried to crack on with him leaving her jealous.Maura comes clean to a shocked Amy about her feelings for Curtis on Love Island
