Modrovich and Henderson also teased what Eve could face when she returns to Los Angeles.

At the end of Lucifer season four, Eve left the world of Lucifer Morningstar behind to embark on her own journey of self-discovery.

Eve realised she had spent so much of her life focusing on the needs of men like Lucifer and her ex-husband Adam above her own.

Showrunners Modrovich and Henderson said “Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart.

“Soooo… a reunion between our favourite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?”

One fan tweeted: “If lucifer comes back and maze and eve don’t become hot gfs [sic] I am RIOTING.”

So far, Lucifer fans know season five will begin with Chloe and Maze trying to recover from their heartbreak.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Lesley Ann-Brandt who plays Maze said: “Both of them, based on where we left off in season 4, are in mourning in a way.

“I think they are leaning into each other. Maze is of course mourning Eve, and definitely Lucifer going back without her; Chloe’s lost her love. They’re kind of holding onto each other as girlfriends do.”

However, Eve could also be back to cause trouble before the show ends.
