Tom Ellis

Thankfully, Tom Ellis will be back as Lucifer Morningstar in the show’s sixth and final series.

There had been speculation Ellis would not return after reports surfaced suggesting there were contract negotiating issues.

In the end, everything seemed to work out as on Tuesday, June 23, Netflix and Warner Bros TV confirmed Lucifer would return for a “final FINAL” season of the show.

What exactly is in store for Lucifer Morningstar will depend on the outcome of season five.

At the end of season four, Lucifer returned to rule over hell, leaving his life on Earth behind.

Ellis has confirmed Lucifer will return to Earth in the fifth series but just exactly how he will get there and the consequences that will come with his return remain a mystery for now.

The short synopsis for season five teases: “In the fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever. Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, “will they or won’t they?”

  • Lucifer showrunner confirms work on season 6 has begun

DB Woodside

DB Woodside will reprise his role as Lucifer’s brother, the angel Amenadiel.

Woodside recently announced some exciting news for Lucifer fans via his Twitter account.

Not only will he be returning for the sixth and final series, but Woodside will also be directing an episode.

Woodside tweeted: “Happy to announce that I will be returning to Lucifer for Season 6.

“Additionally, I will be directing an episode for our final season.

“This is a beautiful cast. We stand by each other. We fight for one another.

“So…let’s get to work. #AngelTrainingBegins @LuciferNetflix.”

Co-star Ellis quote-tweeted Woodside’s post with the caption: “Yes Brother…! Utterly delighted and excited to get back alongside you both in front of and behind the camera.”

Fellow co-star Aimee Garcia tweeted: “YAY!!! Congrats @dbwofficial
! Our talented angel will be taking the reins. Can’t wait buddy.”

Lauren German

Lauren German will return to her role as Lucifer’s love interest, Chloe Decker.

Season five was originally supposed to be the drama’s final season and both German and Ellis teased their characters would have a happy ending.

With filming for the fifth series already complete, hopefully, Chloe and Lucifer will be together as the sixth series begins.

Aimee Garcia

Aimee Garcia will return as forensic scientist Ella Lopez in Lucifer season six.

Responding to the show’s renewal, Garcia tweeted: “THANK YOU to all our #Lucifer fans!! We could not have done this without each & every one of you!! I’m beyond grateful for our Lucifam.”

Ella is one of the few characters left in the series who does not know about Lucifer’s true identity as the devil.

Hopefully, Ella will find out about Lucifer in season five, if not in season six.

Kevin Alejandro

Kevin Alejandro will reprise his role as Detective Dan Espinoza in season six of Lucifer.

Dan is not only the ex-husband of Chloe but also her co-worker at the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lesley-Ann Brandt

Lesley-Ann Brandt will be back as the demon turned bounty hunter, Maze.

Season five will follow Maze as she embarks on her own personal journey and fans are hoping she will find love along the way.

With Inbar Lavi reprising her role as Eve for the fifth series, fans are hoping the pair will be able to work through their differences and give their relationship one more chance.
