Peaky Blinders season 5: Will Oswald Mosley have an affair with Michael’s wife?

Peaky Blinders season 5, episode 5, airs tomorrow night (Sunday, September 15) at 9pm on BBC One. The next episode will see Tommy visit an old friend named Barney and will pick up from the death of Linda (played by Kate Philips). This series Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) has met his match in Sir Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin) but in episode four, it seemed like Mosley had ties to Michael’s (Finn Cole) wife Gina (Anna Taylor-Joy).

Will Oswald Mosley have an affair with Michael’s wife?

In episode four of Peaky Blinders, called The Loop, Tommy Shelby held a ballet performance of this family and friends.

When Michael and Gina arrived at the house, Michael finally told Gina that Tommy had finally asked him to return to Shelby Company Ltd.

He revealed to Gina how rich they would become if Michael rejoined the company, teasing that they would be able to afford “Dukes and Duchesses” and a house bigger than Tommy’s.

With Gina, it is no secret that she wants her husband to become head of the family business.

Gina also teased a sinister end for Tommy, telling Michael “The painting on the wall will be of you ‘cause Tommy Shelby will be gone and it will be Michael Gray arranging the ballet.”

She then seemed distracted when Sir Oswald Mosley entered the same room, glancing over at him.

Their eyes met again as the ballet performed, staring each other out from across the room.

So far, there is nothing to suggest there is anything romantic between the pair but trowing the twists and turns that take place in Peaky Blinders, it would not be crazy if they had an affair.

The Shelby family are already are not Gina’s biggest fans and Gina wants the Shelby empire for herself, so perhaps she will join Mosley against Tommy.

On the other hand, Mosley was keen to find a woman close to Tommy to spend the night with and after Lizzie (Natasha O’Keeffe) turned him down, Mosley may approach Gina next.

Or, Gina could be a low-key fascist, who supports where Mosley’s politics are going.

All viewers do that know is that Mosley is connected to everything, first the Billy Boys, Lizzie and now Gina.

Episode five of Peaky Blinders is titled The Shock but the synopsis does not give any details away about what is going on between Gina and Mosley.

The synopsis reads: “Mosley takes advantage of shocking events to give a speech to the gathered crowd at Arrow House. Afterwards, Mosley gives Tommy his instructions.

“Arthur and his men arrive at Limehouse for the arranged rendezvous, but the situation has changed drastically. Meanwhile, Tommy visits an old war comrade who has a very specific skill that Tommy intends to use.”

he teaser trailer for episode five also does not touch on Gina or Mosley.

Instead, the teaser trailer shows Tommy as he visits an “old friend” called Barney.

In the trailer, he is being searched by a man before meeting the unknown character.

Tommy says to the man, who looks like a physician superintendent searching him: “He was my friend.”

The man replies: “Yeah, well he’s nobody’s friend any more. He’s a f****** animal.”

As the teaser trailer comes to an end, it is revealed that Tommy is visiting someone in a mental asylum.

When Tommy tells the physician superintendent he can wait outside, he replies: “It’s your funeral. I’ll have to lock you in.”
