Piers Morgan mocks ‘simmering’ Alex Beresford over GMB weather report complaint

Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford was left questioning why he was on the show, according to presenter Susanna Reid.

Her co-host Piers Morgan was in hysterics, as he mocked a "simmering" Alex as he complained about the lack of weather forecasts.

They said Alex was on to do the weather, except he revealed this was not the case as he then handed over to Andi Peters who had the latest GMB competition.

Susanna revealed Alex's disapproval over his few reports during the two and a half hour long programme, with him suggesting he had just one report a day earlier.

It came after a separate weather reporter had just given the latest update to viewers, instead of him.

Piers, meanwhile, saw the funny side and mocked his co-star stating he was erupting "like a volcano" over the situation.

As the show returned to the studio, a laughing Piers suddenly informed viewers that not all was right.

He said: "Sorry, it's just very funny. Alex Beresford…"

"He's wondering why he came in this week frankly…" interrupted Susanna.

Alex replied: "What, I only got one weather forecast yesterday, I just got dropped now I'm back in.

"I'm up and down like a yo-yo."

Piers said: "Literally, he's just been simmering like a volcano, and when we finally told him you can do some weather he was like, 'Oh my God, for God's sake'."

Susanna protested: "In his defence, people do quite like to have a weather forecast."

After quipping viewers "didn't just tune in for Piers," he had to tell the hosts who had handed over to him that it wasn't even time for the weather.

Some viewers were a little confused, as one viewer said: "Alex looks like he wants to punch Piers Morgan."

Alex then erupted into giggles, as Piers turned his attentions to "the other annoying one" Andi.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
