Roman Kemp puts on a brave face as he's spotted for the first time since split with girlfriend Anne-Sophie
ROMAN Kemp just about managed a smile today following his split with his long-term girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury.
The radio DJ was spotted for the first time since The Sun revealed that he and Anne-Sophie had broken up after more than two years of dating.
Roman was snapped as he left the Global Radio studios in London after a busy morning at work.
The former I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star, who co-hosts the Capital FM Breakfast Show, was wearing a Nike hoodie featuring the NHS logo.
Despite his recent heartbreak, Roman raised a small grin as he walked down the street with a pair of headphones in.
The Sun revealed on Thursday night that Roman and Swiss neuroscientist Anne-Sophie had called it a day several weeks ago.
The star – who is the son of Spandau Ballet singer Martin – met on the dating app Tinder and moved in together in January this year.
They share a year-old chihuahua called Luna, which Anne-Sophie is believed to have kept in the split.
A source close to the DJ said: “Roman loved Soph and things had been going really well for them. But being in lockdown is tough for any couple and they just weren’t able to make things work, which has been upsetting and tough for them both."
The insider revealed that Roman is wasting no time finding love, however, and has joined celebrity dating app Raya.
"His pals have encouraged him to move on and have got him on Raya, which is packed with attractive and creative women," the source added.
"He’s set up a profile with his best photos and has set the music on his page to the song Gold, by his dad’s band. He’s having fun with it."
Anne-Sophie was born in Austria and her romance with Roman began as a long-distance relationship, as she was living and working in Hong Kong.
The early months were spent meeting up with each other around the globe, in countries including Ibiza, Tulum in Mexico, Venice, and Miami.
When Roman flew to Australia to take part in last year's series of I'm A Celeb, he admitted: "She’ll probably love a break away from me. But she’s so supportive. She lived in Hong Kong for eight months during our relationship so we’re used to long distance."
