Crissy was joined by Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt in a jaunt around the north east with Margie Cooper and Christina Trevanion. Unfortunately, her Antiques Road Trip experience proved unsuccessful when she tried to auction off an obscure piece of kitchenware in Tuesday’s edition of the BBC staple.

The celebrity guest grew annoyed at the auctioneer when she dropped the starting price of her item within a few seconds.

Crissy was hoping to sell on a pair of silver sugar nips shaped like a wishbone.

She had bought the piece for £25, but the asking price plummeted from £20 to £10 in rapid succession.

“She’s doing my head in here, now,” Crissy fumed as the figure dropped.

Scarlett chimed in: “It’s not her fault no one wants your wishbone!”

Thankfully, the bids eventually rose somewhat from £10 to £18.

As the bids continued to come in, Christina egged her on: “Come on, more than that!”

The presenters and guests let out more protests when the bid appeared to be stuck on £18.

Christina once again urged the buyers to bid more, and their prayers were answered.

Sadly, the bids didn’t rise above £22, and Crissy failed to make a profit on the item.

Margie was especially disappointed, and admitted: “I thought £35, minimum.”

And Crissy continued to vent, adding: “I don’t think anyone’s there!”

“She’s just talking to an imaginary friend,” she claimed, prompting fits of laughter from the others.

Despite her protests, Margie initially didn’t seem convinced the item was worth buying.

When Christina asked the ‘Silver Queen’ her opinion, she said: “Very, very nice.

“I mean they’re useless. A useless item, but for £25 they are lovely.”

Ultimately, Crissy did fare better than her celebrity companion for the episode, Scarlett.

Her Newcastle-crested plate was bought for £20 but sadly was only sold for £5.

Plus, Crissy walked away with a tidy profit of £47 for the find of the episode, a butler side table.

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip continues Tuesdays at 7pm on BBC Two.
