Spoilers: Asha and Nina kiss as new romance story kicks off in Corrie

Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) made a huge decision in Coronation Street tonight (February 1), as she kissed Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher).

The pair have become incredibly close over the past couple of months, with Nina encouraging Asha to stick up for herself where Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) is concerned.

Asha ultimately did just that, and therefore dumped Corey, but as she prepared for her first shift in the cafe alongside Nina during tonight’s double-bill, she was confronted by her former boyfriend once more.

Corey arrived in the cafe, and pleaded with Asha to give him another chance.

However, the young girl stood her ground, and refused to let Corey treat her like dirt for a moment longer.

Therefore, she bravely stood up to him, and told him that she’s not interested.

Nina was incredibly impressed with Asha’s actions, and — after Corey’s departure — the two bonded further.

However, the chemistry was soon evident between the pair, and Asha decided to take a chance, and thus inched closer to Nina.

They ultimately shared a kiss, but afterwards, Asha apologised, telling Nina she crossed a line.

Nina informed her that no such apologies were necessary, and that no line exists between them.

Asha was delighted, as was Nina, as the two prepare to embark on an exciting new chapter together.
